Mitchell Evans held their 9th Annual Golf Day on Monday 19th September 2016. The afternoon was forecast to be fine and some golfer’s, who had greater faith in the BBC weather forecast than others, had played without even having waterproofs in their bags! Ah, how brave they were – but after not too long, they were cold and shivering.
A wide range of golfing abilities took part as usual, some playing off extremely low handicaps and some not really knowing what a handicap is.
By 3 o’clock the rain came on and continued to rattle down for the remainder of the afternoon causing the standard of golf to deteriorate somewhat, or so they said, but the golfers carried on in true grit style and all completed the course.
The golfers were met by the members of Mitchell Evans staff who had not played (the sensible ones), in the bar afterwards and all enjoyed a meal together, with prize giving and the naming of ‘The Bandit’.
