Founded in 1991, Mitchell Evans Architects is a medium sized architectural practice based in Surrey. Proud to be a RIBA Chartered Practice, we have the experience to manage a diverse range of architectural projects including design, planning permissions and Listed building consents. As contract administrators, we’re able to provide management for construction projects from procurement and site inspections to project completion and final accounts.
By maintaining the client at the centre of their project, the practice retains many satisfied clients on a year on year basis, nurturing a relationship which provides a personal service ensuring that specific briefs and requirements are met. With over 13 years of experience Toby has developed specialisation in residential design and the refurbishment of historic buildings of listed status.
Chartered Architect Toby has developed expertise in historic property and refurbishment along with new residential new build and extension design, his role starts at the design stages and continues through to the project management and site inspections.
Key projects include the award winning refurbishment of Grade II listed Chilworth Manor and new build country houses.
Chartered Architectural Technologist David is the founding partner of Mitchell Evans and has a vast range of expertise with over 30 years of experience in design, planning and project management which has enabled the practice to continue to expand and retain the satisfied clients for which it is renowned.
David maintains a large pivotal role in the majority of the projects the practice is involved with. His depth of experience in planning and design has developed a very strong track record in delivering positive planning outcomes and results.
Ian joined the practice in 2007, moving from a highly respected local prestige housing developer where he was chief designer. Ian's invaluable experience of over 25 years in housing design and construction is a huge benefit to Mitchell Evans, where he has the role of lead designer.
Notable projects include Greys in Henley, and many other new build, extension and refurbishments where his expertise is key.
Chartered Architect Ian is a key member of the team at Mitchell Evans and has developed a broad knowledge in his fourteen years with the practice. Ian is an Associate and is a team leader in the detailed design and planning, technical drawings and specifications, along with onsite project management.
A large number of projects that Ian has undertaken range from the design and technical detailing of large residential properties, to the onsite project management of listed building renovations.
With over 28 years’ experience in the construction industry, Colin is highly skilled in the design and technical detailing of residential new build, extension and refurbishment projects, he is also experienced in working with listed buildings, leisure and commercial property. Colin’s role involves design and planning, technical construction drawings and specifications, along with on-site project inspections and management through to completion. Colin has a thorough knowledge of the planning process, and works closely with Consultants at an early stage of the project, he also has an in-depth knowledge of the Building Regulations and the Construction Design and Management (2015) Health and Safety Regulations to deliver bespoke detailed technical packages to allow accurate costing and efficient site construction and management.
With over 12 years’ experience Nick is highly experienced in commercial and new build design and construction. He is a team leader who specializes in technical drawing specification and on site project management and supervision.
Nick has undertaken a large number of projects whilst with the practice. These include large commercial refurbishments and new builds, renovations of listed buildings into large retail premises and the construction and detailing of individual large domestic dwellings.
