The new owners of the property wanted the house to be sensitively extended and updated. The old galley kitchen has been relocated into the second reception room which was opened up to the terraced landscaped garden beyond. During the works a historic oak framework was discovered that was brought back to life and an old cellar was uncovered which has now been renovated and is used for storage. All the planning applications were undertaken with close liaison and agreement with the conservation department of the local authority.
