Mitchell Evans are pleased to announce the completion of a new contemporary house.  The property overlooks a meadow, with far reaching views of the North Downs.

The site presented many challenges during the design stage, including the ground conditions, the choice of structure.   The design features open plan living accommodation with a link to serve the bedrooms, all of which have views accentuated by the frameless glass sliding door system.

The building is founded on an Abbey Pynford piled foundation solution with reinforced perimeter walls above providing a solid base to place the pre-cast concrete floor planks.  From these planks a steel frame was erected in only a matter of weeks.  The steelwork supports timber framed walls and roof clad in blue zinc with traditional rendered blockwork.  The zinc roof features concealed flat panel rooflights and secret gutters to maintain the clean lines of the building.

The use of traditional materials and techniques is combined with the latest technology with the house utilising Ground Source Heat Pumps via 100m deep bore holes which supply heating and hot water to the entire property.  PV solar panels supply electricity and a full house mechanical heat recovery and air supply system is also installed enabling comfort control throughout.

The house is finished to the highest standards featuring a sleek, designer kitchen, bespoke fitted furniture and centrally controlled heating, lighting, security and solar shading.

We have enjoyed the challenges this project has presented and are delighted to have handed the house over to our very satisfied Client.  We wish them many years of happiness in their new home.
